Jett Travolta, Son of John Travolta, Dies at 16

Jett Travolta, who is the 16 year old son of John Travolta and Kelly Preston, has died while on vacation with his family in the Bahamas. Jett reportedly suffered a seizure.
Access is reporting that Jett fell and hit his head on the bathtub. Travolta has commented in the past that Jett suffers from Kawasaki Syndrome and it has been believed by some that he has some form of autism.
TMZ is reporting that Jett was taken to Rand Memorial Hospital.
Michael Ossi, who is John Travolta’s attorney, has told Reuters that there were attempts to revive Jett, but he died on the scene.
This is such a sad story and my heart goes out to this family right now as they deal with this tragedy. I can not imagine the pain of losing a child. Travolta and Preston also have a daughter Ella, who is 8.

The death of a child is so heartbreaking no matter the circumstances. It seems even more tragic when it is unexpected. Unfortunately the Travolta and Preston family will now experience a generation of grief where once there was joy.
