Yes, I swear, you really did read that headline right. Supposedly, VP candidate Sarah Palin’s husband, Todd Palin, is the "hottest thing to hit politics" or so said the email I just received. I’ll admit, he ain’t too bad to look at.

A New York Based Rum Company, Caribaya, supposedly wants to make Alaska’s first man, America’s next super model with a billboard ad campaign. Um, okay.

Here’s an excerpt of the letter:

Dear Todd:

I would like to take this opportunity to express my congratulations on being the nation’s “newest hottie.” We at Caribaya Rums are searching for a product supermodel to be placed on billboards and ads across the nation.

We would like to make an offer to you about representing our rum products. We at Caribaya Rums think that you would become a sex symbol to the millions of women that enjoy our product, as well as become the new face in the advertising world. Even though you live in the land of cold, we are sure that you would melt the tons of hearts that see this ad.

This IS a joke isn’t it? I am pretty damn sure Todd Palin doesn’t want to become the new sex symbol to millions of women, but hey, I could be totally wrong about the guy. Maybe that’s his life long dream.

The letter also said, "If your wife moves to Washington ,  you might be looking for a new job."

So, what do you think? Should Mr. Palin take them up on their offer. Maybe he would have a lifetime supply of rum. Yum, rum and coke.
